Happy New Year! And, let's hear it for 2012 who has blessed us with an extra day - 366 of them this year. When we consider that we have been gifted with an extra day, we have to decide how we will use it. What if we gave each of the 366 days a title; for example, Day of Joy, Day of Discovery, Day of Serving, Day of Sacrifice, Day of Doing, or Day of Listening? Would our titles direct our intentions? We have titled our Blog, "Steppingstone Journey" because we want that title to direct our intentions, not for just one day, but for a string of days, all year, and perhaps many months after that. As your time allows, we invite you to travel with us through 2012. We are standing on one of our steppingstones, preparing to take a "leap of faith" in 2012 as we have felt a call to become more deeply involved on the mission field. We are standing still now, our four feet comfortably stabilized, waiting for our assignment to serve. We can see the stone in front and the one in front of that one, but beyond that, they are a little blurred. We know we will see clearly each stone before we have to take the next step. So, until we hear clearly where we will serve the Lord, we will title each day, "This is the day the Lord has made and we will rejoice and be glad in it"..Day. We will use each day as a fresh Steppingstone on our journey, and we hope you will join us!
